The Supreme Court ruled that so-called mandate to be a tax that could be offset by tax credits for purchasing health insurance.There's no difference in the ACA and the proposed plan, except for what one calls it. In both cases a person is subject to an income tax that can be reduced by purchasing health insurance. I would suggest that the Supreme Court's labeling the "mandate" a "tax" was far better than their declaring tomatoes to be vegetables. |
