I recently retired, after working for 27 years. I had, what the BHO insisted on calling "Cadillac" healthcare coverage. When I first started out, I had ZERO co-pays for medical,dental, and prescriptions. Then, over the years, It went from 5 dollars, to 10 dollars, to $15 co-pays. $30 if there was a test involved. Then, the ACA was passed, and in June, the rates changed to $30 co-pays, $50 for a test or to go to an urgent care facility, and $100 for the ER! Are the illegal aliens and poor paying for the ER? I don't think so! My "union" takes care of the prescription parts. My scripts used to mostly be ZERO co-pay to a few bucks. NOW they are about $10-30 a script, and you MUST used the generic brand. And the reason for all of my increases, as told to me personally by doctors and Pharmacists is Obamacare! Basically I'M (the working man) paying more to support this mess so I can carry those who cannot afford it. So, in the spirit of sounding selfish, REPEAL it, and make it the way it was! And IDGAF if this sounds ignorant or selfish, so be it! |
