Have you ever thought that maybe a U-turn via Morgan or Metro and a return to the LIE would be faster? Obviously you couldn't have known that in advance, but Waze could have.And there is a faster route if you take the Morgan or Metro exits that uses only local streets. Waze could have sent you that way. That you started the trip before Midnight doesn't matter. Waze would have updated the ETA and recalculated the route. Please stop talking about "It made no sense to go to Manhattan only to have to return to Brooklyn." Of course it makes no sense but no one other than you is suggesting it. It made no sense to go to Manhattan on,y to have to return to Brooklyn. And as I said there is no easy route that does not involve many turns and missed traffic signals if I got off at Morgan. The delays to get back on the BQE at Atlantic was also an unknown if thousands of other cars were using local reads to get back on there. Unknown to you but not to Waze. And there are not "many turns." |
