I never said that the traffic jam was not there before I could see it. Of course it was there and probably was getting worse by the minute.But your claim that WAZE would have gotten me home sooner is unsubstantiated unless it would have kept me off the BQE in the first place which it would not have done since I began my trip around midnight BEFORE the delays had started. Once on the BQE and after the LIE turnoff, there really was no other alternative. There were long delays at all exits except for the Williamsburg Bridge and Morgan Avenue. It made no sense to go to Manhattan on,y to have to return to Brooklyn. And as I said there is no easy route that does not involve many turns and missed traffic signals if I got off at Morgan. The delays to get back on the BQE at Atlantic was also an unknown if thousands of other cars were using local reads to get back on there. So the only other choices were Kent and Tillary, both of which were bad. |
