My heart felt thanks for all those responded with kind words and encouragement.Yesterday, by way of LIRR and Amtrak, I traveled down to Baltimore to see my brother in Shock Trauma hospital. The doctors performed many tests and confirmed the worst, and he was indeed pronounced brain dead. As of this writing, he was taken off life support a silently passed away. As an organ donor, his wish was to donate his vital organs for those in need to save their lives. And now it's over. I said goodbye to my last family member from a family with much love and togetherness. Yes, I'm in a state of shock, but what concerns me is when the shock wears off and this will all hit home. They say time heals all wounds. In this case, time may move very slow. I'll survive this, with all remaining relatives and friends. Thank you for your sincere thoughts and words, Bill Newkirk |
