Which indicates that Canadians tend to have homicidal feelings roughly as often as Americans. So when they have a knife or a blunt instrument handy, they tend to kill just as much as Americans do. But because they have much less access to guns, the murder rate due to guns is lower.To me, this is evidence that if the US had Canadian gun laws (which very likely would not be Constitutional, but that's besde the point for the moment), it's murder rate would be less by about 3 per 100,000 population per year. |
