Regarding Dan Lawrence

Hello. I wanted to update all of you on why Dan Lawrence has not been on the board lately and barring some minor miracle will not be returning.

Some of you may have been contacted by a member who I emailed in the winter - Dan is my father (I'm his older daughter, Karen) - I've lurked here for somewhere in the realm of five years, but this is the first time I've felt it necessary to register to post.

In the last year to eighteen months, his physical health and mental state have taken a sharp decline. He is no longer capable of taking care of himself, and has declined enough that my mother is also no longer able to care for him.

I'm sorry I can't share more - but I wanted to let everyone know what the situation is.
