Your confusing the grand jury hearing with the trial. Once the grand jury concludes it's up to the District Attorney's office to decide if and when it brings charges. If the grand jury No-Bills the cop it will be a tough call on what charges if any are brought. Also, I don't know if the grand jury is just hearing a capital murder allegation; second degree murder or manslaughter; or all of the above.
