fiogf49gjkf0d the problem here is you are replacing your opinion with facts. John and Joe's right to marry is not the same (protection varies at all levels) as Ms. Bachman's right to express he religious and political opinions (frigging First Amendment).
Of course the "Loud and Annoying" section of the left does not believe in freedom of expression and freedom of speech if what is being said is something they do not believe in and do not want to run the risk.
You said anything she thinks does not belong in the discussion, well, then you are condoning the censorship of a fellow American with an opinion.
No one has ever given me a reason to support LGBTQ and whatever else. I've just been told over and over again that I should. Now, for the record, I absolutely hate "Because" answers. "Because you should" "Because it's the right thing to do" "Because it's there right to..." I'm not denaying anything is or isn't. What I want to know is, why should it be my problem?
Anytime I try to have a serious discussion when I bring in all information, people like you go off with the "You have said something negative about X, therefore you must be a (insert whatever word is used for those who dislike whatever X is here)" argument. That's a logical fallacy of the worst kind, but it's one of the go to tactic's for people like you.
Example: I once said "Rap music glories violence way too much" and was responded to with "You hate black people." Let's meet the current highest ranking rap artist on the Billboard charts...
A 24 year old white girl from New South Wales
who's main hit has spent 20 weeks on the hot 100, peaked at #1 and currently rests at #2. She's also featured on a second track that's been on the charts for 12 weeks, currently at #4 and peaked at #2 while the first song was #1.
She's the only solo act in music and the only other act, along with The Beatles to have the top two spots on the hot 100 during their debut on the chart.
So we can see that obviously not everyone in the "rap game" is black, and I didn't even need to reference Mr. Mathers, the best selling artist of the previous decade. We know that there are those who are not black who enjoy this kind of music. So why is it a general statement about rap suddenly equal "must therefor hate blacks" If anything you're the one now stereotyping, saying only blacks make and listen to rap.
Why do I bring this up? because anytime anyone asks a question about gays, the bitching starts.
We understand why there are different genders. We understand why there are difference ethnic backgrounds.
But some of the reasons that homosexuality exist don't mesh properly. They don't make sense. And any time I ask for answers, people like YOU start with the "You hate gays." routine because I don't simply accept them as is without having a few questions answered. Like I said, I hate "Because" answers and that's all anyone ever wants to give me.
If it is genetic, then it should not exist because there would be no way to propagate the section of code. It would also mean it's theoretically something that could be both induced and removed with retroviral therapy.
If it is environmental or developmental, then why is it considered something that should be protected, meanwhile I'm being bombarded with "Cure autism" slogans. Speaking as a person in an extremely close to Asperger's position on the scale, I think I'm fine the way I am and want to be left alone. But no, society demands we all be "repaired." I'm quite happy not being fully nuerotypical, so where's my fracking pride parade..?
If it is multiple sources, then strictly speaking they are not the same thing.
These are legit issues I have with the subject matter that people like YOU just want to ignore.
If anyone deserves to not bring anything to the discussion table, it's you and your though police comrades...
