It's based on the hypothesis that free lunch for all would remove the stigma of free lunch for just the economically disadvantaged students. So what's next, mayor deLousio?Food Stamps for all to reduce the stigma of poor people using food stamps to buy food? HEAT Subsidies for all so the poor don't feel stigmatized by public assistance to heat their homes? Welfare for all so the poor will no longer feel stigmatized by getting their monthly check? Medicare for all, so the poor are no longer the only group with free health care. Free cell phones for all? Maybe a new car for every citizen every 3 years?
