Even up to modern times (save the last three-four decades or so) intermarriage was very difficult between Jews and others. I would ask for any evidence that such intermarriage was ever "heavy."*

Taking this the other way, what color are modern Sephardic Jews? Are Sephardic Jews not Semitic, as are Arabs?

And I would point to the opening premise of this discussion: whether Jesus was white? I would argue that, culturally and ethnically, Jesus was not "white" because he was a Semite, and Semites are only recently considered "white." But neither was He "black."

A more relevant discussion is whether he was "light-skinned" or "dark-skinned," and I don't see how either matters unless one is looking for race-baiting.

BTW, SMAZ elsewhere referred to Paul and Jesus as both being "Israelites" without defining that term further. But Jesus was from Bethlehem, in Israel (unless you want to drag in modern politics) while Paul was from what would now be southern Turkey.

*This brings up what could be another interesting (but probably not profitable in this forum) discussion. If intermarriage between Jews and a majority population was ever "heavy," that would likely have been the end of that Jewish population.

Outmarriage in the U.S. is something like 50%+ and many consider that ominous for the survival of Judaism, given the already low number of Jews in the world.
