How is it that there is "ample documentation" for the appearance of Jesus's disciples but no documentation as the Jesus's own appearance.

One reason could be that the disciples lived longer. None of the gospel writers or their contemporaries ever met Jesus, but they might have met Peter and Paul.

are you contending that the Jews of Israels time were of a different appearance than modern Jews?

Are you contending that modern Jews (in general, not considering converts) are not descendents of Jews 2000 years ago? This is not a petty question. There are groups that contend this.


Isn't there fairly good evidence that Sephardic Jews are more closely related to Israelites of 2000 years ago than Ashekanzi Jews, because the Askenazi intermarried heavily with Europeans of non-Jewish descent?
