Are you contending that modern Jews (in general, not considering converts) are not descendents of Jews 2000 years ago? This is not a petty question. There are groups that contend this. Isn't there fairly good evidence that Sephardic Jews are more closely related to Israelites of 2000 years ago than Ashekanzi Jews, because the Askenazi intermarried heavily with Europeans of non-Jewish descent?
