Just like there are color-coded EZPasses for officials, they'll be some sort of official OMNY card.

Obviously they'll have OMNY-enabled employee passes. I mean there isn't even an OMNY card now! Why expect employee passes to be a thing now?

Let's see how this all works when fully rolled out. I believe Cubic is the vendor for both Ventra and Omni, as well as many other fare systems around the world. What each agency decides to include is the great variable..

There are no Romanian colonies in America, so irrelevant.

I've always wondered why there are no Venetian colonies. They were not innovative enough to shift to building ships for the Atlantic.

Someone posted, "There are no Romanian colonies in America." I note three Romanian churches near the M stations of Fresh Pond Road and Forest Avenue."

The NYCTA subway sign makers have sometimes posted Polish service notices in Greenpoint and Chinese service notices at Canal Street. I wonder whether the non-English service notices in Ridgewood are in Polish, Romanian, German, Spanish, Italian, Slovak, or Serbian.
    ---
From Yelp's restaurant guide, it appears that there is a Romanian colony in Sunnyside.

Surprisingly, it's grammatical structure is very similar to Latin. But while there are most certainly Romanian clusters in Queens, it is pretty far down on the lengthy list of languages spoken here.

Since there was no further response to my incredulous "WTF":

It was obvious I meant a colony in the sense of "Mexico was a Spanish colony." And not in the sense of an ethnic enclave. I have NEVER heard the word colony used in the sense of an ethnic enclave. Clearly the Romanian Government (which was not sovereign for most of the era of colonization) did not sponsor an expedition to North America seeking a colony in the name of the Romanian crown to be run by Romanians.

Speaking of which, there's been some discussion about the difference, if any, between the terms "Hispanic" and "Latino" when referring to people with origins in various Western Hemisphere nations.

My own take on this, not that anybody else follows it, is that "Hispanic" should refer exclusively to Spanish-speaking populations and "Latino" can refer to any country south of the USA border. So Brazilians would be Latino but not Hispanic. However, logic doesn't always dictate usage,
