Since there was no further response to my incredulous "WTF":It was obvious I meant a colony in the sense of "Mexico was a Spanish colony." And not in the sense of an ethnic enclave. I have NEVER heard the word colony used in the sense of an ethnic enclave. Clearly the Romanian Government (which was not sovereign for most of the era of colonization) did not sponsor an expedition to North America seeking a colony in the name of the Romanian crown to be run by Romanians. |
