Speaking of which, there's been some discussion about the difference, if any, between the terms "Hispanic" and "Latino" when referring to people with origins in various Western Hemisphere nations.My own take on this, not that anybody else follows it, is that "Hispanic" should refer exclusively to Spanish-speaking populations and "Latino" can refer to any country south of the USA border. So Brazilians would be Latino but not Hispanic. However, logic doesn't always dictate usage, |
