Uh oh...so let's play follow the money:1) Has Nassau County signed a deal to fund these improvements? LIB has been crying about money FOREVER. Since this is an MTA operation ALREADY, the addition of new resources has to come from SOMEWHERE. 2) If Nassau County has not agreed to cough up more money for operations, then who is paying for this endeavor? Follow the money. It is important to make sure that the CITY OF NEW YORK is not being billed for any of this because they have a contract that forces them to pay whatever the MTA asks for. I have a feeling that some congestion pricing hush money is headed to Nassau County just as Westchester's hush money came in the MetroCard. |
