Th issue is that the MTA is going to run service at a higher level than Nassau can pay for. Previously, they stuck to the budget, which meant that LIB could do very little with their service. The idea behind Regional Bus includes the pooling of resources to "lower the cost" of running buses and my concern is that Nassau County is going to be let off the hook for the money. This leaves NYC to fund a large chunk of the hole. |
