I've personally observed decent ridership on the SIM 4x (as well as the 8x). Even if those buses don't fill up, getting them to 1/3 full or so takes a lot of pressure of the regular SIM 4/8.I suspect SIMs 5x & 6x (and especially the 5x) are toast- I don't see that enough people will ride even from upper Hylan to make them worthwhile. Perhaps eliminate the SIM 5/6x and create a SIM 9 - it can run similarly to, or even replicate the old x4. This helps relieve pressure on the SIM 1 and also helps people from Midland Beach get to lower Downtown and Brookfield Place.. Call it the SIM 9... (which would almost reverse the old x7/9...) |
