You can easily see them on Google Street view because they all have bus pads. I do see at least one missing bus stop where there is no stop for four blocks. My guess is that soneone politically powerful once lived there and objected to a bus stop in front of his house. I wouldn't be surprised if other stops are missing for the same reason.But all those stops are very lightly used anyway so buses are probably stopping only once every mile or half mile anyway. No time would be saved if the stops were eliminated so there is no reason to remove them other than to cause inconvenience and reduce ridership so you can cut service further. The MTA's real goal. Less ridership and less service. |
