He is saying that with fewer lanes, fewer cars will drive on Queens Blvd so congestion will not Increase. There are many fallacies to that theory. The cars will not just disappear. Either they will go to otter roads causing more congestion there, stay where they are increasing congestion on Queens Blvd, or they will all switch to the Q60 or the subway. Switching to mass transit will not happen unless everyone who uses Queens Blvd could just as easily take the bus or subway to get where they are going which is just not the case. |
