Whatever grades were needed could have been spread over the distance from the Hudson River to the Harlem LineThat'll make it five times longer than it ought to be. And a lot slower too. Trying to get to the Hudson Line would mean doubling back from the bridge level to the river level, or constructing expensive ramps over the water They'll already be doing that trying to reach the Harlem Line. |
