You're probably right about them not wanting the Q22 and Q52 working together, which is ignorant on their part if that's the case. The Q52 would not have to follow the Q22 route to Mott Avenue. It could follow the old Q21A route by taking Beach Channel Drive straight to Mott Avenue. The bay ends at Bay 32nd Street meaning that part of Far Rockaway is part of the mainland. There is absolutely no bus service north of the subway tracks from Bay 32nd Street to Mott Avenue. In fact, at Beach 25th Street station, the Q22 is several blocks south. That community could definitely use the bus service. |
