Well you did your research and you were wrong. You posted the link that stated all the routes were renumbered around 1989 and that wasn't true. That site you posted also inaccurately stated the M23 was renumbered from the 15 at that time when the 15 ceased to exist on 23 Street in 1974.

So you are not always correct either even with your research, but I decided to not make a big deal of it like you are all nitpicking to discredit me ignoring the larger points to be made.

As far as stealing ideas, the MTA does that all the time. They use many route suggestions mentioned to them and claim them as their own. My friend told me he was the one suggesting the B31 be rerouted to Kings Highway Station around 1993.

Back in 1967 when I was still in high school, I suggested they paint the columns or stripes on the columns to match the route color since they were repainting all the columns anyway at that time. The response was that it sounded like a good idea but "there must be somethng wrong with it or we would have thought of it already."

That attitude has not changed much. Then when I went to Chicago for the first time, I saw they use colored stripes on their station signs to designate which route stops at the station. So if it works there, it could have worked here also if the MTA wasn't so arrogant.
