I think the zone fares were eliminated when the fare went up to 30 or 35 cents in the early '70's. BTW I remember when there were TA employees who collected the nickel fare at the last bus stop before it went over the bridge. The passenger has to insert the nickel in a hand held device.Also, I do not recall a bridge surcharge on the Triborough or Verrezano Bride bus routes. |
