You said you can apply basic concepts from afar. I stated applying concepts from afar does not solve problems.

Now you ask me where did you mention solving problems. What do you think this entire conversation is about? It's about solving a supposed problems relating to safety and traffic congestion in the area.
Wrong. I'm describing a part of the process of solving problems. You can begin by applying basic concepts from afar. But YOU personally fail at that, as you apply said basic concepts incorrectly. Take for instance the use of hourly vehicle count volumes. I never said you can solve the entire problem from afar by applying basic concepts! But that is PART of the PROCESS for solving problems, and you can't even get that part right!

So once again, I only said that you can apply basic concepts from afar. And I meant is as part of the process of solving problems. This could be seen by the fact that in the very next sentence IIRC I stated that visiting the site is still crucial (or something to that effect). YOU are the one who misunderstood me, ignored my second sentence, and then claimed that I said that problems can be solved by applying basic concepts from afar. THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID.

You can't even follow a simple discussion.
No, it is YOU who can't follow a simple discussion. See what I just explained above.

My point was that you have to deal with specifics and have specific knowledge about the specific area which includes visiting the area and becoming familiar with it because making decisions just by looking at numbers from your office will lead you to erroneous conclusions.
I agree. But part of that process is applying basic concepts from afar before you get to the specific location.

Your point was that it was sufficient just to "apply basic concepts from afar."
No, I neither implied nor stated that. See my explanation above.
