You can't transfer people to a different location and have them report to no one. They have to be put somewhere within the organizational structure. . It also makes no sense to have the boss in another location miles away where frequent trips would be required. Combining Surface and Rapid Planning was the only logical choice. The point is that if the incident I described did not occur the transfer may have occurred years later or not at all. |
