You just proved my point that not one single comment of his relates to the subject of this thread whether the B36 route should be changed.Don't remember if I addressed this here or not so I will repeat, the MTA has no choice but to make this change because of what DOT is doing. The problem is that they are trying to justify it and stick up for DOT. There is only one reason for that. The MTA is no longer allowed to criticize DOT because the Commissioner of DOT is also on the MTA Board which is a conflict of interest. Before she was appointed, the MTA freely criticized DOT like when Times Square became a pedestrian mall. The MTA claimed the rerouted incressed bus running times by 20 minutes thereby costing them more money and they were not happy. If DOT would have made that change today, the MTA would have to say it is an improvement for MTA customers. |
