That's all true.It has absolutely no effect on the moral responsibility for air pollution created by driving. That responsibility rests solely on those who, for whatever reason, drive. I have lived in places that required driving a car for pretty much everything you wanted to do. It would never occur to me to assert that, just because I didn't have any other choices for transportation, the air pollution I was producing wasn't my fault. That's ridiculous. |
