The average car WILL BE STUCK IN TRAFFIC MORE. It has already happened in Rego Park which is why cars have already switched to Alderton Street. When it becomes a one way southbound, those cars will be forced back to to Woodhaven.If cars will be stuck less in traffic they wouldn't have already chosen to avoid it by shifting to an already slow residential street. THEY DID THAT BECAUSE TRAFFIC ON WOODHAVEN IS BARELY MOVING IN REGO PARK during the AM peak hour since the addition of the bus lane. THAT MEANS MORE AIR POLLUTION NOT LESS. |
