I don't mean to sound like others on this board, but we did go over this already.

0.3 seconds grace period on a NYC red light camera. A DOT link (or URL) was provided in reply to one of your posts. Here it is again.

Official sources also say that the yellow is always at least 3 seconds, though I agree that in some spots it definitely seems faster (don't know if it really is or not). And it would only exceed 3 seconds where the speed limit is higher than the city norm.

The red light cameras photograph you going through the red light. They show the red light before you enter the intersection and then while you are in the intersection. It doesn't really matter how accurate they are because the evidence is based on photography. For speed cameras and, to an extent, bus lane cameras, I'm a little weary however.
