I don't think the county would adjust trips just because it would better work for the company. I mean if they would do that for Veolia then why won't they do that for Sunrise Coach so that all the S92 trips ended or started in Greenport so there wouldn't be a need to house buses at Hampton Jitney for S92 service. Or for Suffolk Bus Corp so that the last S66 that ends in Riverhead so it wouldn't be a long dead head back to the yard.Besides all the companies that currently operate Suffolk Transit has given money in the past to the Democratic party for Levy, so I have a feeling that Veolia even if they tried to get a Contract I doubt they will. (I mean we are talking about a county that gave Suffolk Bus Corp 5 million to operate the Para Transit when the County Comptrollor said it could be done for like two million or so less) Also the County Comptrollor is almost always investigating the companies that operate Suffolk Transit every about other year, and if Veolia is as bad as everyone says they are, I dobut they would want someone doing that. |
