Boston's Silver Line along Washington Street saw a significant increase in ridership over its predecessor route 49 bus – some of those might have been new patrons from adjacent South End neighborhoods, but I suspect that a portion of the increase was existing transit riders on the bus routes through Dudley Square who now take the Silver Line instead of the bus/Orange Line journey via Ruggles. I though the M15 in particular might have seen an increase from people who no longer walk over to the Lexington Ave. subway. |
