I would not use the boldness of NICE to compare it with MTA, MTA's problem is that budget prevents Operation planning from modifying the system. It only modifies when there is a public outcry and/or a major impact that involves a local polition is involved (for example Ridgewood Terminal or a city demand to a development project or it can be a feeder to a subway line.Let s be real, the decline in bus ridership and the increase of subway ridership is evidence. If modifications were made in the Brooklyn system, I guarantee you that service would improve. There are studies put out last year that the outerboros are showing job growth and that bus and subway system does not assist in that growth. So utilized that info and build more interboro (Brooklyn - Queens/Bronx - Queens) crosstown routes. Use SBS or Express bus routes that also are interboro routes. Again south Brooklyn is in need of this. Just my 2 cents |
