I dunno...aren't the examples that you provided showing how political the orders are. Governor Ehrlich said he doesn't want Montgomery to do CNG and instead go with Clean Diesels and hybrids...which is intriguing.The LFA doesn't surprise me. DC did, after all, build an extravagant Metrorail system when it would have been "cheaper" to build and run a typical subway. Heck they didn't even want to call it the subway because it had a bad connotation, showing dirt, grime, crime, etc. |
