"Great shots. Four questions:

Thanks.

(1) The Steinway and Queens Transit transfers appear to have a two letter code on each (DV and HJ). Were those date codes so that a person would not be able to use the transfer on a future date?

I don't know for certain but it seems very likely. Unlike the TA transfers, most privates were not dated.

(2) How does one determine the dates on the Green and Triboro transfers?

Again, I'm not positve but the large letter - in this case "E" on Green and "A" on Triboro - was a variable.

(3)The Green Q60 transfer shows a transfer permitted to the Q21A, Q22, and Q22A - but the Q60 doesn't intersect those routes - it's necessary to use the Q113 between Jamaica and Far Rockaway. Don't understand.

You're not alone. While the Steinway and Queens transfers which had a smaller perforated coupon on the right-hand side for the first transfer with the second transfer being in the body of it, Green did not.

(4) The Green Add a Ride ticket looks like a generic one that all Green Buses carried - not just the Q60. Am I right about that?"

It does look that way even though Add-A-Ride transfers were specific to routes like regular transfers.

Maybe someone else on the board has more info.
