I believe the tables actually have turned in recent years. With all of the requirements for "clean diesel" these days, with the filters, converters, etc, as well as the emissions requirements getting more strict every few years, I think CNG is looking better. You don't need all of the extra emissions stuff.Also, as the report stated, CNG fuel is MUCH cheaper than diesel right now. Plus, from my casual obervations, the ISL-G seems to be a much stronger and stable CNG (bus) engine than anything that was offered before. I'm glad they decided to take a second look at CNG, and we may have LI Bus to thank for that. |
