Frankly, I'm glad Millennium went under. That old RTS design is sadly out of date. The design is over 30 years old, for Pete's sake! I hated the thought of N.J.T. perpetuating that "shit" design for another 12 to fifteen years. I can't wait until all of the Nova's disappear off the streets of New Jersey. I've hated the Nova's from the day they got the first one.Among other things, I hate the narrow front stairway and narrow door. The platform area is too small. I've seen passengers hit their heads on the overhang when placing their fare in the box. The lifts should never be located in the center doors. And the bus is loud, inside and out. And that's just some of the reasons. In addition, they're ugly! Even though I prefer low floor buses, the new N.J.T. NABI is a good looking bus with nice, wide front doors and a large platform area. |
