I am not sure of the advantage of the B44 local run up Bedford instead of NY Av and moving the B49 to NY / Brooklyn. I see what you are trying to do but I think the same thing could be accomplished without the needless complexity of having the B44 and B49 cross over one another.I outlined a plan with similar advantages without the extra complexity. Have the B49 continue up Ocean to Empire and go east to Utica. Move the B44 local to Rogers. And reroute the B43 to Kingston Brooklyn around the hospital and terminate there or go further south. Or else reroute some B46s to Albany south of Holy Cross and give it a new route number. Bedford is clogged with traffic and it would be better not to have any bus on it. Ocean Ave north of Foster is lined with six story apartment buildings with the exception of two blocks and could support a bus route. |
