I like the way they say "These service changes now allow bus customers on both New York Avenue and Rogers Avenue to reach important destinations north of Fulton Street, where the local and SBS routes travel together on Bedford Avenue."I'm not sure what major destinations are north of Fulton Street besides WBP itself. There's a lot of turnover at Fulton itself, so there's not that many passengers benefitting from it anyway. And it's not like the B44 is the only route connecting both sides of Fulton Street in that general area: The B43 & B48 do so as well. I think I might've mentioned it before, but I think the best solution would actually be to have the B44 local & SBS both run up Bedford/Nostrand, and send the B49 over to cover NY/Brooklyn Avenue (basically provide a route between the B44 & B46, and give the B49 another purpose besides being a super-local version of the Brighton Line). It could end at the Utica Avenue 3/4 station on the northern end, or simply end at the hospitals themselves) |
