Did they pass this or was this made into law?

I know, even though they just cut student loan funding to pay for people "building schools" in iraq(talk about racism against the homeland), student loans had different laws protecting it than other credit. You can't get rid of it through bankruptcy, or evade it. I don't know if you lose benefits from it though. That would be extremely stupid and silly. If someone could afford to repay all that, they probably wouldn't be on social security or other programs anyway. Right?
