If NYCTA and NYC DoE were to cease handing students Metrocards allowing for free travel on subways and strictly assign students to the nearest school, then you'd see considerably fewer high school students on the subway. IIRC, Metro only gives out tokens that at reduced fares only for bus usage.Absolute truth! |
