And yes, a few high school kids act up on the Metro but it is not like the C train in Brooklyn or the 2 train in the BronxIf NYCTA and NYC DoE were to cease handing students Metrocards allowing for free travel on subways and strictly assign students to the nearest school, then you'd see considerably fewer high school students on the subway. IIRC, Metro only gives out tokens that at reduced fares only for bus usage. I'm only saying that I prefer it over the system in my city. I prefer a system with new cars and clean stations. Is that so wrong? Except the means of stating this come across as a the bloviated opinions of a teenage girl swooning over a boy band or incessant foamer. Instead of making statements that essentially turn you into an awful and half-assed mouthpiece of WMATA, just simply state that you like the system for whatever reason. Blathering about the magical glory of Metro and it's "can't do wrong" management just sounds downright silly. I'm one of the biggest defenders of HBLR, but most of my posts don't sound like "NJT is the best and can do nothing wrong". BTW, in ten more years, the 1000s are going to be as old as the Brightliners at their current age, so their stuff will begin age too. |
