As best I remember, we only had to stand in the yard and work zones by rule, but the objective was being able to see your iron and most of all the trippers. When keying by, you also had to stand as well as making sure the arm was driven down when a signal cleared. But the latter was common sense and as best I recall, not a "rule." |
