Eric is the press officer with the NYS Division of Military and Naval Affairs. Not necessary for him to know the specifics of the local agencies since his job is merely to act as a news contact for the NYS Natural Guard and such. His information was probably what he remembered in order to speak to a specific individual rather than the media and didn't have the time to go look up something that wasn't relevant to his own agency's mission. It can get like that since DMNA is a rather small office. |
