Re: JohnL needs to let Will learn and worry about his own posting

Before we get to the rest of your advice, let's cover this:

"Maybe true. You don’t say why. I think I would disagree with this as there are currently two high-profile DBOM contracts in the region that I can think of off the top of my head: JFK AirTrain and the RiverLine."

AirTrain is run by a private operator on contract to the Port Authority. MTA could hire the same operator, so your point is well taken. Riverline is similar, as you correctly point out. So I agree with you there.

"Delete paragraph. Condescending"

That's too bad. It fits, and it stays. Get over it.

"Irrelevant. The main job of an engineer is to be an engineer and come up with engineering solutions."

False statement. The junior engineer does that. The Chief Engineer has to know a lot more. The program manager has to know the big picture.

Look up the people I cited and then come back and tell me what they were responsible for, and which audiences they had to satisfy. and while we're at it, what did Von Braun do early on that pissed off the Mercury 7? And why did he change it?

"It takes time to pick up on that - and you're not there yet."

Maybe that applies to you too. Don't like it. Tough. Get over it.
