But that's the only exception I can think of.)Yeah, and think of the date those two stations opened....the SAME date, so it's definitely possible. The platform signs say Jamaica Center - Parsons Boulevard Not to mention, there's no reason that station should be called Jamaica to begin with, it's NOT really the center of Jamaica, if anything, the extreme fringes. The station at the center of Jamaica is called Jamaica Center. The station in Jamaica at the Van Wyck Expressway is called Jamaica-Van Wyck. Furthermore, it's quite confusing I think, considering the next stop IS the LIRR Jamaica station at Sutphin (and THAT isn't even in the heart of Jamaica). Right, at Jamaica Station, as opposed to Jamaica Center or Jamaica - Van Wyck. |
