Again, as I said for the Subway, "Usually".And most of the ones that use a street are because it's a second station in the same time, for example Glen St is in Glen Cove, and you can't have two Glen Cove stations, Merrilon Ave is in Garden City, and you can't have two Garden City stations, Centre AVe the same. Nostrand and Flatbush Ave are remnants from when that was a surface level rapid transit line run by the LIRR, with many stations. The last remaining are just that, rare exceptions. |
