I don't think a QB line (be it the V or R) would be successful at replacing the A Express in Rock Park. It would be slow and hated.

Why? Currently those Rock Park people have a dead end train, instead of a through train. ANd those people still would have the option of getting off at Broad Channel or wherever if they chose not to take the route via Queens Blvd. And people destined for lower Manahattan probably would anyway. However, the V or R would fill up for sure north of North Conduit. It's irrelevant where it starts, the Rockaway line subway line would have to terminate somewhere, and it would be silly to terminate it short of the connection with what is now the Rock Park Shuttle. What else would you suggest, terminating it at the new Rockaway Blvd station below the Liberty El? If it goes that far, it may as well connect to the shuttle that now terminates at Broad Channel.
