Security seems to have become more of a problem in the last three years. The Empire State Building recently acquired concrete barriers around its perimeter. I don't imagine that anyone will want to take chances with Penn Station. The terrorists win, but what else can we do? |

After the first WTC attack in 1993, the WTC garage was outfitted with anti-truck barriers that were only lowered if the operator decided the vehicle was OK. One of those could be put at the entrance to the Penn Station underpass. |
