Dan Ingraham was an OK guy - met him once at a WPLJ party. But yeah, the show was lacking at times ...

Nah ... while too many stations had too many Elvis impersonators, he really believed he was Frank Sinatra. :)

Or the timeless, "I'm gonna nail his pecker to the wall!"

The man was pure New York. He was part of what makes that movie so great and the remake so lame.

Then after Marino cautions Caz to take it easy, gesturing at Mrs. Jenkins: "Oh, come on. If I gotta watch my language just becuse they let a few broads in, I'm gonna quit. How the hell can you run a g--d--- railroad without swearing?"

Eileen Brennan's still alive. She was nearly killed when struck by a car back '82 or '83.

Roscoe Lee Browne passed a few years ago I believe.

Norman Lear had a talent for picking guest actors who would later become big stars in their own right.

BTW, R.I.P. Paul Benedict a/k/a "Bentley"

A total reversal of character for Elizondo, whom I saw in Pretty Woman and Princess Diaries Part 2. Naturally, whenever I see him, I immediately think of the psycopathic, machine gun-toting badass in Pelham.

Don't remember him.

OTOH do you remember Sandy Becker? He hosted a weekday kid's TV program called Sandy's Street on Channel 5 and later was a radio host on (probably) WNEW AM.
